FIWARE for the Next Generation Internet Services for the WATER sector

The project in brief
Fiware4Water's main goal is to connect the water sector to the open and royalty-free FIWARE platform, which aims to help SMEs and digital solution developers create the next generation of Internet services. The aim is to create a free and sustainable ecosystem, centred on intelligent tools, applications and services that will be developed for and by water stakeholders, while respecting water-related standards, thus ensuring interoperability with existing management systems and services. To achieve this objective, IT tools and services will be developed through 4 case studies covering the whole water cycle: water supply (Athens, Greece), drinking water distribution (Cannes, France), citizens' involvement in the management of domestic drinking water consumption (Great Toprrington, UK) and wastewater treatment (Amsterdam, Netherlands).
