Video - FEXTE project in Bolivia: Interview with Oscar Zelada Jaldin, President of the Misicuni company

Within the framework of a Franco-Bolivian experience exchange mission in April 2022, OiEau interviewed Oscar Zelada Jaldin, President of the Bolivian public company managing the dam Misicuni.
Floods, droughts... Bolivia is one of the countries most affected by climate change. Faced with these challenges, OiEau has been providing technical assistance to the Bolivian Ministry of Development Planning (MPD) and the Ministry of the Environment and Water (MMAyA) since May 2021, through the Fund for Technical Expertise and Experience Exchange (FEXTE) granted by the French Developement Agency (AFD).
This project aims to strengthen the institutional and technical capacitiesof local actors for the implementation of priority public policies for Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and sanitation, particularly in the department of Cochabamba.
Within the framework of this project, a mission to exchange experiences between the managers of the Misicuni dam and the Société du Canal de Provence took place in France in April 2022, with a view to a major hydroelectric infrastructure project, the "Multiple Misicuni Project", for access to drinking water and energy in this region.
