The world of water

For 30 years, CNFME has carried out continuing professional training in the water field. Since 2001, it has remarkably grown by doubling its activity. It accommodates more than 5,800 trainees per year for 500 yearly training courses.
This success is mainly explained by active pedagogy under "working conditions" which is really a success for CNFME clients and which requires big technical units installed on its sites of Limoges and La Souterraine.
To accompany this growth, CNFME is developing and modernizing these technical means: in 2007, the construction of a new hall of 400 m2 in Limoges enabled the building of new units (regulation bench, remote meter reading, storm water, on-site sanitation, follow-up of the environments) and the upgrading of too exiguous existing units (pumping, leak detection in networks, backflow preventers, metering, etc.).
The investment of 600,000 Euros benefited from the financial assistance of the Limousin Region and Upper-Vienne Department.
By displacing a public highway, the city of Limoges allowed the reconfiguration of the whole site with, in particular, the creation of a new car park and the development of a new reception area.
The technical units were equipped with the assistance of French and European companies of the water sector.
The inauguration took place on last 14 October, in the presence of Mrs. Evelyne RATTE, Regional Prefect, Mr. Claude GUERRIER, representative of the Limousin Region, Mrs. Marie-Francoise PEROL-DUMONT, Member of Parliament, President of the Upper-Vienne General Council, and Mr. Alain RODET, Deputy-Mayor of Limoges.
